Hey Crochet Buddies!! today I have a Yarn Stash Buster pattern for you!
Wherever you are around the world, I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and healthy <3
Since many of us are either in quarantine or lockdown. And we can’t go out to buy more yarn. Or we want to finish our yarn before we order more yarn online. I thought to make a pattern that may help you bust this yarn stash!
I honestly started with a rough plan in my head, and I was afraid I will not have enough yarn to match what I had in mind. But with some tweaks I did it! and am very satisfied with result are you?!
The first step in this is to gather your yarn and sort it out pick the colors that you are going to use regardless of the yarn weight!
For example I used a mix of medium (weight 4 yarn) and super bulky yarn. and to make the weight consistent throughout the wall hanging I used three strands of my medium weight yarn.
If you don’t know about my room makeover patterns series. Let me give you some background!

Finishing Touches
- Work one last row of sc stitches around the 2 side edges of the wall hanging using triple strands of color A.
- Attach your wall hanging to the wooden dowel (or whatever you have on hand) as you see in this video
- Cut 71 strands that are 31 inches (80 cm). you may use any yarn of your choice but if your are going to use medium weight yarn make sure to double the strands! so that the fringes are not too thin relative to the wall hanging.
- And attach it to the bottom edge as you see in this video (one strand in each stitch)
- Hang the the wall hanging and trim the ends of the fringes if needed.
